Alexander Hamilton Scholars (AHS) had not released an Annual Report since 2016, and before that it had been years. In 2019, I was tasked with re-imagining what the nonprofit's annual report could look like, incorporating organizational values with an intentional design that was true-to-brand-guidelines while being fresh and unique.
Most important to me was communicating the services AHS provides to first generation, low income students in the transitions from high school to college to career. I wanted to celebrate the successes of the scholars AHS serves, and accomplished this through conducting virtual interviews with a student from each of the active cohorts (2015-2019) and writing short, emotionally charged features.
I conducted a data analysis of cohort information and annual budget to create the represented statistics, ghostwrote the letter from the Executive Director, and used my original photography and illustration work throughout the report.
